    Overview

    The purpose of this qualifications is to enable learners to develop the knowledge, skills and competence to plan, deliver and evaluate safe and effective Pilates sessions.

    Completing this qualification enables learners to access jobs instructing unsupervised Pilates sessions.

    Qualification Details

    Learners will cover:

    Anatomy and physiology – specific to needs of exercise and health professionals
    How to programme a Pilates teaching session
    How to deliver a Pilates teaching session

    To achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates, learners must complete 6 mandatory units.

    Assessments include:

    Multiple choice theory papers
    Assessment workbooks
    Worksheets
    Progressive programme
    Planning
    Summative observation of practical teaching
    Evaluation and reflection

    This qualification can lead to work as an employed or self-employed yoga instructor.
